September 1999-worked assistant of the department of human anatomy at the Donetsk National Medical University. In 2010- Associate Professor of the Department of Human Anatomy Donetsk National Medical University. In 2012- received the title of associate professor of the department of human anatomy. From 2016 to the next time- works as an associate professor of the Department of Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery at Kiev Medical University. From 2016 to 2022- performed the duties of the person responsible for educational and methodical work at the department. From September 2022 – the head of the department of Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery at Kiev Medical University. Author and co-author of 109 scientific works, 24 of them were published in leading professional publications, 1 – in Scopus, 5 – in international publications, 1 preprint, 1 copyright certificate, 4 patents of Ukraine for inventions, 2 training manuals, and many published educational and methodological works. Scientific and pedagogical experience in high education- more 30 years.
The department teaches the courses “Human Anatomy”, “Clinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery ” to the students of 1-3 years of Medical, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical faculties of both Ukrainian and English Medium, elective courses “Human Anatomy With a Clinical Aspect” and “Modern Research Methods in Anatomy”. There is also a postgraduate course study of the Comparative Anatomy. The material and technical equipment of the department meets all the standards of higher medical education. The department is equipped with high-precision anatomical models, the full set of surgical instruments and 3D Organon software – the world’s first fully adapted medical program of virtual reality. To facilitate the educational process the number of Anatomical textbooks, workbooks and other auxiliary materials are published, among them “Workshop on Human Anatomy: Musculoskeletal system”, “Workshop on Human Anatomy: Splanchnology” and so on. The staff members of the department are also successfully engaged in scientific research. The point of scientific interests is the Comparative Anatomy. All the department employees are the members of Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists, Embryologists and Topographers of Ukraine. More than 400 scientific publications have been published since the department was established. The department regularly presents the results of scientific researches at National and International conferences and congresses, in particular, in 2020 the department participated at six such forums. In May 1992, the first in Ukraine was registered in the city of Kyiv private Higher Medical Educational Institution «Medical Institute of the Ukrainian Association of Folk Medicine». The formation of the teaching staff of the first departments of the institute begins. Doctor of Medical Sciences V.I. Talko becomes the head of the Department of Anatomy. Under his leadership, the educational and methodological base and teaching staff of the department are formed. On September 9, 1992, V.I. Talko gave the first lecture on human anatomy. This is the first day of training – the day of the official opening of the institute. Currently, the structure of the department, in addition to human anatomy, includes the disciplines of topographic anatomy and operative surgery, clinical anatomy, which until 2015 were headed by Doctor of Medicine, Professor Kryzyna P.S.; Since 2015, it has been headed by Associate Professor Radomska N.Y. Since February 2016, associate professors N.V. Kovalchuk have been working at the department. and Kerechanyn I.V. Until September 2022, Kovalchuk N.V. performed the work of the person responsible for educational and methodical work at the department, and from September 2022 – the head of the department. Kerechanyn I.V. was responsible for work with foreign students, and since June 2020, after the death of the head of the department, MD, professor V.I. Talko performed the duties of the head of the department. In 2019, associate professors L.Y Sankova will come to work at the department. and Shmargalov A.O. But the war events in the country forced them and Kerechanin I.V. to resign from work in August 2022. Scientific and pedagogical staff of the department for the next time: Ph.D., Associate Professor N.V. Kovalchuk, Ph.D., Associate Professor I.M. Leonenko, Ph.D., Associate Professor N.Y. Radomska, Ph.D. associate professor Avilova O.V., Ph.D., associate professor Lakhtodyr T.V., assistants Leonenko S.I., Chepurna N.O. Year after year, for 30 years, the department has been identified as one of the best among the departments of fundamental medical and biological disciplines of the university. The first pages of the department history testify not only to its significant achievements in a relatively short time, but also about the great creative potential that can and should work for the further development and improvement of work in the field of training highly qualified medical personnel for Ukraine, as well as abroad. |

Kovalchuk Natalia, was born 1962. Graduated from Donetsk National University in 1986. After worked as a researcher at the Central Research Laboratory of the Donetsk National Medical University. In 1999-2002- wrote PHD- thesis "Assessment and forecasting of the individual resistance of the body to the load of the beta-sympathomimetic isadrin"- it was part a fragment of the competitive work of the Ukrainian level (The role of systemic factors and mechanisms in the individual resistance of the myocardium to stress and ischemic damage).
