Admission Requirements

In accordance with the mission of the University – “In relentless pursuit of excellence, to educate, to search, to heal and to serve humanity,” every graduate of the Study programs of KMU is expected to become a change agent in society. The main objective of the Program is to train competent health care professionals who are able to perform organizational, diagnostic, medical and research activities in compliance with national and international standards, as well as to be committed to the principles of humanism, medical ethics and patient safety. Graduates must be able to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, develop, implement, and disseminate projects that impact health promotion, especially aimed to fulfill the local community needs.

There are two admission sessions in 2025. The first one lasts from March, 24 till May, 1 while the second one – from July, 7 and till November, 1.

The University announces admission for such major faculties as Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy in Ukrainian and in English medium.

APPLYING PROCEDURE

Kyiv Medical University offers admission offline in Kyiv, offline in Poland or distant admission.

Choose the best option for you and follow the instructions.


Offline admission in Kyiv:

Step 1. To Apply for an Electronic Invitation Letter

Receive an electronic invitation letter at

https://apply.studyinukraine.gov.ua/home

Step 2. To Apply for Visa

When an applicant receives an Invitation Letter from the University, he/she should apply for visa type ‘D’.

After receiving the visa at a diplomatic or consular office of Ukraine in the country of applicant’s residence, please inform Dean when you will come. Dean`s office will help you with support letter for transit visa.

Step 3. To Apply for a Faculty.

On arrival an applicant must submit the following documents to the University:

  1. School Certificate with Academic Records of all subjects (in the original and a copy);
  2. Passport (in the original and a copy of the front page and the page with Ukrainian visa issued by Ukrainian Embassy);
  3. Medical Insurance;
  4. 12 photos, size 3,5 x 4,5, matte.

Documents mentioned in items 1, 2 should be translated into Ukrainian and notarized.

Documents mentioned in item 1 should be legalized in a way legally provided in the applicant’s country of otherwise they are stipulated by international laws.

Before an invitation is issued, each applicant must undergo a validation procedure. This is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The package of documents is submitted to the Ministry through the university’s admissions committee.

Validation involves analysing educational documents to ensure they comply with the required educational level and the requirements for preparing educational documents.

An applicant is informed about the date when he\she takes three writing tests – in language (English or Ukrainian), Chemistry and Biology. When the applicant undergoes the whole process successfully, the University issues the Order of admission which means that the applicant is enrolled for the program and becomes a student of the University.

Offline admission to the Polish campus (is only available to persons living in the EU or who have a visa-free regime):

Step 1. To Apply for an Electronic Invitation Letter

Step 2. Time to come to Polish campus

Please inform Dean of the Polish campus (o.khomiak@kmu.edu.ua) when you will come.

Step 3. To Apply for a Faculty.

Distant admission:

Step 2. To submit the documents

When an applicant receives an Invitation Letter from the University, he/she should submit to the University next documents:

  1. School Certificate with Academic Records of all subjects (a copy);
  2. Passport (a copy of the front page);
  3. Medical Insurance;
  4. 12 photos, size 3,5 x 4,5, matte.

Documents mentioned in items 1, 2 should be translated into Ukrainian and notarized.

Documents mentioned in item 1 should be legalized in a way legally provided in the applicant’s country of otherwise they are stipulated by international laws.

Before an invitation is issued, each applicant must undergo a validation procedure. This is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The package of documents is submitted to the Ministry through the university’s admissions committee.

Validation involves analysing educational documents to ensure they comply with the required educational level and the requirements for preparing educational documents.

When crossing the state border of Ukraine for the first time and upon arrival at the University, the foreigner shall submit the original documents in person.

Step 3. An applicant is informed about the date when he\she takes three writing tests – in language (English or Ukrainian), Chemistry and Biology.

The University conducts identification and entrance examinations in a distant format with video recording (including from the screen of the applicant’s device).

When the applicant undergoes the whole process successfully, the University issues the Order of admission which means that the applicant is enrolled for the program and becomes a student of the University.
