KMU Leadership Attends Prestigious International Students Conference in Poland

Kyiv Medical University (KMU) is proud to announce that our esteemed Vice-President, Ms. Kseniia Bykova, and the Director of the KMU Polish Campus, Mr. Oleksandr Potii, represented our university at the significant “STUDENCI ZAGRANICZNI W POLSCE 2024” conference. This important event took place in Poznań, Poland, on February 8-9, 2024, bringing together over 350 attendees for two days of intensive discussions, with nearly as many participating online.

This year’s conference, hosted by Poznan University of Technology, was particularly symbolic as it marked a transition from focusing on the quantitative aspects of internationalization to prioritizing quality in both the internationalization of education and the support for international research. Mr. Waldemar Siwiński, the founder of the Perspektywy Education Foundation and the conference opener, emphasized the current stage of building quality in the context of internationalizing education and research efforts.

The conference saw participation from leaders and deputy leaders of institutions and organizations responsible for internationalization, including the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Polish Academy of Sciences, and many more. The British Council was the main partner of the event, highlighting the global significance and collaborative spirit of the conference.

Among the participants were over 50 rectors and key directors of international cooperation, development, and promotion departments from more than 100 Polish universities. This gathering provided an unparalleled opportunity for KMU’s representatives to engage in dialogue, exchange best practices, and foster collaborations aimed at enhancing the internationalization of higher education and research.

Ms. Bykova and Mr. Potii’s attendance at the conference underscores KMU’s commitment to actively participating in the global educational community and our dedication to improving the quality of education and research through international collaboration. We look forward to implementing the valuable insights gained from this conference to further enrich our university’s programs and initiatives.
