We invite you to “Chornobyl. Journey” Multimedia Exhibition

The Chornobyl disaster is a man-made ecological and humanitarian catastrophe caused by thermal explosions and the destruction of the fourth power unit of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant located on the territory of Ukraine (former USSR) in April 1986.

It resulted in complete destruction of the reactor and a large amount of radioactive substances getting released into the environment. There was an emission 300 times more powerful than taht of Hiroshima. The catastrophe is considered the largest in the history of nuclear energy in terms of the number of those who died and were affected by its consequences.

“Chornobyl. Journey” Multimedia exhibition consists of seven semantic blocks – from the world context of the shocking year of 1986 to the story of the accident itself, from the stories of people whose destinies are inextricably linked to the events of April 26, 1986, to the dialogue about the fate of Chornobyl and its future.
