Summer Clinical Practice 2026 has officially begun at the Polish Campus of Kyiv Medical UniversitySummer Clinical Practice 2026 has officially commenced. This year, more than 200 students are taking part in the program, completing their practical training at Polish hospitals, clinics, and other affiliated clinical training sites. Participants include students from the Polish Campus and the Kyiv Campus of Kyiv Medical University (KMU), as well as students from other higher education institutions across Ukraine. The clinical placement is delivered within the KMU Summer Camp format—a distinctive model of practical medical education developed by Kyiv Medical University that combines intensive clinical training with professional and personal development activities. Four days a week, students gain hands-on clinical experience at affiliated healthcare institutions under the supervision of experienced physicians. Every Friday, participants attend open lectures, workshops, and training sessions led by leading experts from Poland and other European countries. The program also features excursions, cultural events, sports activities, barbecues, and informal networking opportunities, fostering an international student community. One of the defining features of the program is that the Summer Clinical Practice begins simultaneously for students of all academic years, from the first through the sixth year of study. This approach is an integral part of Kyiv Medical University’s educational model and ensures the progressive development of the clinical competencies required of future physicians. The clinical training program has been designed in accordance with contemporary European standards of medical education. Particular emphasis is placed on first-year students. For them, the initial stage of clinical practice is based on the best educational practices of leading Polish medical universities and includes an introduction to the legal aspects of the physician–patient relationship, the fundamentals of Polish medical law, the organization of the Polish healthcare system, patient and healthcare worker safety, occupational health and safety, infection prevention and control, as well as training in the use of modern electronic healthcare systems implemented in Polish medical institutions. All educational modules are delivered by leading Polish physicians, academics, and healthcare experts with whom Kyiv Medical University has maintained successful long-term cooperation. Each year, the University continues to expand its network of clinical partners. This year, for example, students of the Faculty of Dentistry will, for the first time, complete their clinical placement at the state-of-the-art Stencel Dental Clinic, marking another important milestone in the University’s international collaboration. Summer Clinical Practice 2026 provides students with a unique opportunity to gain real-world clinical experience in a European healthcare environment, learn from leading medical professionals, become familiar with contemporary standards of patient care, and further develop the professional competencies essential for their future medical careers. 07.07.2026
