Polish healthcare leaders Anna Janik and Hanna Dobrowolska delivered an open lecture at KMU Polish Campus

KMU Polish Campus hosted an open lecture entitled “Shared Responsibility: Professional Ethics and Patients’ Rights in the Work of the Healthcare Team,” dedicated to the key principles of interdisciplinary collaboration, professional ethics, and the protection of patients’ rights in modern healthcare.

The event brought together students and faculty members of KMU Polish Campus, offering them a valuable opportunity to engage in a professional discussion with distinguished representatives of Poland’s healthcare community.

The lecture was delivered by:

  • Dr. Anna Janik – Chair of the District Council of Nurses and Midwives in Katowice
  • Dr. Hanna Dobrowolska – Member of the Presidium of the District Council of Nurses and Midwives in Katowice, Chair of the Education and Standards Committee, and an expert in postgraduate nursing education.

During the lecture, participants explored the role of professional ethics in everyday clinical practice, patients’ rights, effective collaboration between physicians and nurses, as well as contemporary European approaches to interdisciplinary teamwork in healthcare. Particular attention was given to the shared responsibility of all healthcare professionals for ensuring high-quality, safe, and patient-centred care.

The event concluded with an engaging open discussion, during which students and faculty members had the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas with the speakers, and discuss practical aspects of interdisciplinary collaboration in contemporary healthcare.
