Mini-conference on dental implantology and bone regeneration. A professional dialogue between education and clinical practiceOn February 2, 2026, a Mini-conference on dental implantology and bone regeneration was held at the Polish Campus of Kyiv Medical University in Katowice. This educational and practical event brought together students, academic staff, and practicing specialists to explore contemporary approaches to surgical dentistry and regenerative medicine. The event was officially opened by Oleksandr Pokanevych, president of Kyiv Medical University, who, in his opening remarks, emphasized the strategic importance of integrating academic education with hands-on clinical experience from the early stages of medical training. He also highlighted the role of international educational standards in shaping a competitive and globally oriented medical professional. The central highlight of the conference was the inaugural lecture by prof. Patrick Kownacki, MD, PhD, a specialist in surgical and implant dentistry, a graduate of postgraduate programs at Goethe University Frankfurt and Harvard School of Dental Medicine, a long-standing lecturer and Associate Professor at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, and an author of internationally recognized scientific publications.
