Message from the Rector of Kyiv Medical University

Dear KMU Family!

I hope that all of you are doing well!

We want to assure you, that health and safety of students has always have been our top priority.

In order to limit the risks of spreading coronavirus COVID-19 and ensure the safety of all students the Rectorate of the University has decided to switch study process to online format using modern digital technologies from March 22 to April 9, 2021.

The abovementioned period may be changed depending on the epidemic situation in Kyiv.

This decision is made based on Government Resolution of 09.12.2020 №1236 and decision of the State Commission on Technogenic and Ecological Safety and Emergencies of 20.03.2021 (Protocol № 11)

University faculty members already have considerable experience in organizing training in a pandemic and are ready to provide you with quality theoretical knowledge.
University leadership realizes the crucial role of practical trainings, that’s why we pay maximum efforts to the constant operation of the Center for Simulation Training and Assessment. All KMU students and interns will be able to master practical skills at the Center right after cancellation the restriction to visit University campuses and associated clinics. We will upload the schedule of Center for Simulation Training and Assessment operation to the University web-site as well as Facebook and Instagram.

I am confident that strict quarantine restrictions will preserve the health and lives of members of our university community and we will return to a “mixed” mode of study and classrooms very soon.

So, please keep on doing your work in the Google Classrooms available for each discipline and complete all tasks assigned by faculty members.
We will inform all faculty members, students and interns about changes in the study format via the official website of the University and corporate Emails.
I would like to draw your attention to compulsory maintaining social distance, avoiding crowding indoors, using of facial masks and gloves, following the rules of respiratory hygiene. Stay safe whether you are studying, working, visiting family and friends, staying in the hostel or going out.

Stay healthy and always keep positive state of mind!

With kindest regards,
Borys Ivnyev
Rector
