Meeting with Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Coimbra

On February 02, within the framework of the visit to Portugal, the working group of Kyiv Medical University and I held a friendly meeting with Professor Carlos Robalo Cordeiro, Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest higher education institutions not only in Portugal but also in the world, founded in 1290.

It was inspiring to talk to a man who lives his work and is an inexhaustible generator of ideas in the field of education and medicine. We were fascinated to hear about the history of the faculty and ambitious plans for its development. This meeting was the first step in establishing future cooperation in the context of short traineeship programs for our students and future doctors in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry and Public Health.

An unexpected and pleasant surprise was the receipt of a commemorative medal with the picture of the patroness of the Medical Faculty of the University of Coimbra as a sign of friendship and support.
