Master class on the use of modern hemostatic agents held at Kyiv Medical University

A master class on the use of modern hemostatic agents was held at Kyiv Medical University on the initiative of Iryna Mykolaivna Tymchenko, Head of the Department of Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy, PhD in Medicine, Associate Professor. The event was organized for students of the Dentistry Educational and Professional Program, group C2302.

The master class was conducted by Taisiia Vasylivna Sydorenko, Head of the charitable organization SECTOR GREEN.

During the event, students became familiar with modern hemostatic agents, examined their mechanisms of action, and discussed the specific features of their use in various clinical situations. Particular attention was paid to bleeding control algorithms and the selection of an appropriate hemostatic method depending on the type and characteristics of bleeding.

An important component of the master class was the practical session. Students practiced wound packing and blood-loss control techniques using specialized simulation trainers. This enabled them to consolidate their theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills for managing situations that closely resemble real clinical conditions.

Such practice-oriented educational activities contribute to improving the quality of the educational process within the Dentistry Educational and Professional Program, strengthening students’ professional competencies, and developing their readiness to apply modern bleeding-control methods in their future dental practice.

Kyiv Medical University continues to expand opportunities for students’ practical training by combining fundamental knowledge of pharmacology with clinically oriented practical skills.
