Kyiv Medical University Launches a Socially Demanded Master’s Program in Clinical Psychology!

We are excited to announce that our new Master’s Program in Clinical Psychology has officially launched! This program has quickly become highly popular, especially given the current situation in Ukraine. We have already admitted 120 students, but due to the high demand, we are ready to accept more!  The application period is open until October 22 — don’t miss your chance to join this socially important and much-needed program.

The program is delivered in close cooperation with Ulster University (Northern Ireland) and is designed to provide top-tier education in clinical psychology. The curriculum focuses on the best approaches and methods in psychological care, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most effective evidence-based methods, and systemic family therapy, which addresses the psychological needs of modern families.

The program aims to develop practical skills in applying validated methods for psychological interventions of varying intensity, taking into account the diversity of patients, their age, and recovery dynamics. In Ukraine, clinical psychologists face enormous challenges, working with trauma and post-traumatic disorders in dangerous conditions. That’s why it’s crucial to learn how to apply the most effective techniques to help address psychological issues related to trauma, regardless of socio-economic background.

As part of our collaboration with Ulster University, we are also exploring the possibility of organizing study trips to Ulster for KMU’s top students after completing the program. This would provide a valuable opportunity to deepen their knowledge and gain international experience. 

Under the 5-year agreement between Kyiv Medical University and Ulster University, several program modules have been developed jointly and adhere to the high standards of the British Psychological Society. Lectures and classes will be conducted jointly with our esteemed international partners, ensuring a global perspective and the highest quality of education for our students.
