Tamara Kiryk, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor.

Tamara Kyrik graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Turkmen State University. M. Gorky (Ashgabat) and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of International Relations of Kyiv State University. Taras Shevchenko (today – Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv). In 2005 she defended her dissertation on “Pedagogical means of overcoming phonetic interference in Turkic-speaking students in a higher education institution.” A year later she received the academic title of associate professor. He is currently working on his doctoral dissertation “Philosophy of Humanitarian and Pedagogical Dimensions of the Modern Paradigm of Higher Medical Education” (specialty “Philosophy of Education”).

1992. Kyrik has been working at the university since 1992.

Since 2006, head of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Social Sciences and Humanities.

He is the author of more than 200 scientific papers, 12 textbooks, a large number of teaching materials for teachers and students.

During her work at the university she prepared two candidates of sciences. She has repeatedly undergone advanced training abroad.

The newest direction of modern methods of teaching in higher school is developed, components of media didactics – wikididactics, blog didactics, site didactics and others (G. Onkovych).

The materials are designed for use by teachers and students in independent work in Ukrainian and English.

The scientific work of the department is focused on the study of a wide range of social and humanitarian problems. Thus, today the staff of the department is working on the topic “Formation of national and universal values ​​in students of medical and pharmaceutical schools” (№ state registration 0113U004578).

During the existence of the department, its staff has published more than 2,000 scientific papers and prepared a large number of reports delivered at forums and conferences of various levels. Participation in the meetings of the scientific community both in Ukraine and abroad is an integral part of the work of the staff of the department. The department pays great attention to educational work with students, namely, holds Olympiads, Games, concerts and excursions.

The department has a laboratory “Formation of the student’s personality – the future doctor”, within which various meetings of the scientific community are organized and held annually, surveys are conducted among students, the latest media education technologies are introduced, textbooks, manuals, monographs are published.

The International Scientific and Practical Conference on Personal Development of the Future Healthcare Worker is held annually. Proceedings of conferences are published in conference proceedings.

Every year the department holds a competition of abstracts on topical issues of medicine.

The student scientific circle “Genius loci” also works at the department.

The defense of four doctoral and six candidate dissertations took place at the department.

 DEPARTMENT OF UKRAINIAN AND LATIN LANGUAGES was established on the basis of two departments:The Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Social Sciences and Humanities (2006) and  the Department of Sociology and the Department of Languages ​​(1992). The first heads of   the Department of Sociology – Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor Irina Vasilyeva; Department of Languages ​​- Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Ph.D., Associate Professor Julia Tomina (1992-1996). From 1996 to 2006 the head of the Department of Social Disciplines and Languages ​​was the Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Victor Pervak.  

Since 2000, the Department has held annual international scientific conferences in the field of “Formation of the personality of students of future health care workers.” Since 2008, international scientific conferences have been dedicated to the memory of the First President of Kyiv Medical University, Honored Doctor of Ukraine Valery Pokanevych.

Since 2006, the department has a laboratory “Forming the personality of a student-future doctor”, within which various meetings of the scientific community are organized and held annually, surveys are conducted among students, the latest media education technologies are introduced, textbooks, manuals, monographs are published.

Since 2006, the student scientific group “Genius loci” has been working at the department.

In 2006-2020, the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Social Sciences and Humanities was headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Tamara Kyrik.

In September 2020, the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Social Sciences and Humanities was renamed to the Department of Ukrainian and Latin Languages. The department is headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Tamara Kyrik.
