Ph.D. thesis: «Modern Political Metaphor in Russian Language Newspaper Communication of Ukraine: Cognitive and Pragmatic Description». Dissertation presented and defended at the Department of Philology, Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University.

The department teaches Humanities and Social Sciences: Philosophy, History of         Ukraine and Ukrainian culture, History of medicine, Medical law, Foreign language, Professional English, Ukrainian as a foreign language, Evidence-Based Medicine, Career management, Cross-cultural communication for students of 1-3 courses of Medical, Dentistry, Pharmaceutical and International faculties.

 In August 2020, the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Social Sciences and Humanities was reorganized in accordance with Order № 135/1. The result of this reorganization was the creation of two departments: the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Ukrainian and Latin.

 The first head of the Humanities and Social Sciences Department (2020-2021 years) was Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Oleg Anatolyevich Agarkov.

From July 2021, the Humanities and Social Sciences Department is headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Nikonenko. From October 2022, Humanities and Social Sciences Department is headed by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Iryna Filatenko.
