Congratulations to our teacher with receiving the Order of Pride of the Nation award

We want to congratulate Professor Yevhen Kolesnikov, MD, member of our surgery department №1, with receiving the Order of Pride of the Nation as well as Certificate of Merit for active public position, significant contribution to the development and prosperity of the state, conscientious work, high professionalism, unshakable patriotism, love for Ukraine and creation of its positive image.

Yevhen is a world-renowned scientist. He was recently awarded the honorary title of “Scientist of the Year 2020” for a series of scientific works about development of new mini-invasive methods of surgical treatment of morbid obesity, which became the “gold standard” in bariatric surgery and innovative research on the role of cytokines in destructive pancreatitis, creation of inhibitors and methods of laparoscopic delivery to the pancreas. He is also the author of a unique method of surgical treatment of obesity, which has become advanced around the world.

(Eugene Kolesnikov is a member of the Association of Postgraduate Education of Harvard University (USA), Vice President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, laureate of the International College of Surgeons (US Academy of Sciences) Science (IMSA).
