Career guidance meeting between the team of Kyiv Medical University and students of Irpin Lyceum No. 2: a step toward a future medical profession

Recently, the team of the Department of Pharmacology at Kyiv Medical University held a career guidance meeting with students of Irpin Lyceum No. 2. The event became a great opportunity for high school students to get acquainted with medical education, learn about modern study opportunities, and take their first step toward a future career as a doctor, pharmacist, or dentist.

During the meeting, students had the chance to communicate with faculty members and current students, learn about real student life, and ask questions about admission, studies, and career prospects. Special attention was given to the idea that modern medicine is not only about knowledge, but also about practical skills, critical thinking, and readiness to work in an international environment.

Future applicants were introduced to the key advantages of studying at KMU:

• modern educational programs in Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy;
• a combination of theoretical training and hands-on clinical practice;
• teaching delivered with the involvement of experienced practitioners;
• opportunities to study in an international environment and integrate into the European educational space.

The university focuses on training a new generation of professionals capable of working both in Ukraine and abroad.

Particular interest among students was sparked by the opportunity to study in Poland. The Polish Campus of KMU is a unique project created as part of the university’s integration into the European educational space.

Located in the Silesian region (cities of Katowice and Bytom), the campus serves as an official representation of the university in the EU. Here, students:

The meeting in Irpin once again proved that modern school students are highly interested in medicine and actively seek quality education opportunities.
