Kyiv Medical University (KMU), located in Kyiv, Ukraine, established in 1992, is the 1st RANKED PRIVATE university in Ukraine according to the most valued ranking system osvita.ua. It is the oldest private medical university in Post-Soviet countries and has trained approximately 7,000 students from all fields. Agreeably, there is a high demand for Medical Doctors, both in Ukraine and other parts of the world, owing to the high demand for medical attention across the globe. Consequently, KMU aims at training and deploying the best and most qualified doctors to meet this cause by maintaining public health, as well as efficiently treating human diseases.

The duration of Doctor of Medicine degree is 6 years of study, properly divided into the preclinical and clinical years, during which students are eligible to get their medical practice experience from countries like Germany, Poland, Turkey and Israel. Students who finish from KMU are awarded the diploma that is equivalent to MBBS, MD, and PHYSICIAN DEGREE.

The Dental Center "UNIVERSYTETSKYI", in collaboration with the Innovative Center of Dental Technologies (ICDT), has created an integral platform of Dental Faculty that provides dental students with the latest technologies and innovative methods of dentistry.

The Dental Center "UNIVERSYTETSKYI", occupies a large area of over 2000 square meters, and with 40 dental units. It has up to 150 faculty and clinical staff members working therein, and has admitted thousands of dental students, residents, PhD students. In all units of the Center, all employees and staff work with reliable, high-tech equipment, like the Plasma Air Disinfectors, autoclaves, oral instruments, simulation equipment, etc, installed in all units of the Dental Center. Therefore, this equipment, just like every other equipment, has been proven reliable and safe to use.

The duration of Doctor of Dentistry degree is 5 years, equivalent to Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD); Master of Dentistry (MDent); Master of Dental Surgery (MDS); Master of Dental Science (MDentSci); Master of Stomatology (MS); Master of Clinical Stomatology (MCS); Master of Stomatological Medicine (MSM); MChD (Master of Dental Surgery).

The pharmaceutical industry has been globally recognized as one of the most crucial fields of medicine.

It is important to carefully understand how the body responds to pharmaceutical elements, and the amount which the body can thrive under.

This is why KMU is keen on breeding a generation of pharmacists who have acquired a vast knowledge of drugs and drug application. A large number of pharmaceutical specialists have been sent forth from Kyiv Medical University, and they are excellent and proficient in what they do.

The duration of Pharmacist degree is 5 years of study, and all 6 departments in the Faculty aim towards expanding the knowledge and improving the proficiency of students, by engaging them in research and scientific works and students' tasks, with regards to the proper understanding and usage of biologically active substances.

Admission Requirements

In accordance with the mission of the University – “In relentless pursuit of excellence, to educate, to search, to heal and to serve humanity,” every graduate of the Study programs of KMU is expected to become a change agent in society. The main objective of the Program is to train competent health care professionals who are able to perform organizational, diagnostic, medical and research activities in compliance with national and international standards, as well as to be committed to the principles of humanism, medical ethics and patient safety. Graduates must be able to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, develop, implement, and disseminate projects that impact health promotion, especially aimed to fulfill the local community needs.

There are two admission sessions in 2025. The first one lasts from March, 24 till May, 1 while the second one – from July, 7 and till November, 1.

The University announces admission for such major faculties as Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy in Ukrainian and in English medium.

APPLYING PROCEDURE

Kyiv Medical University offers admission offline in Kyiv, offline in Poland or distant admission. Choose the best option for you and follow the instructions.

Offline admission in Kyiv:

1. To Apply for an Electronic Invitation Letter
   Receive an electronic invitation letter at https://apply.studyinukraine.gov.ua/home
2. To Apply for Visa
   When an applicant receives an Invitation Letter from the University, he/she should apply for visa type ‘D’.
   After receiving the visa, please inform Dean when you will come. Dean`s office will help with support letter for transit visa.
3. To Apply for a Faculty
   On arrival submit:
   • School Certificate (original + copy);
   • Passport (original + visa page copy);
   • Medical Insurance;
   • 12 matte photos (3.5 x 4.5);
   Documents must be translated to Ukrainian and notarized; certificate must be legalized. A validation procedure by the Ministry of Education is required. The applicant then passes 3 tests: Language, Chemistry, Biology. After success – admission order is issued.
