Free internal academic mobility program for students of higher educational establishments that are suspended due to the war

Dear students of higher medical education institutions that are located in areas, where active combats are taking place!

We consider it as our social responsibility to continue providing quality educational services to students, as the right to education is indisputable. We have set our humanitarian mission to help students from the occupied and destroyed territories finish this academic year as convenient as possible. Kyiv Medical University invites to continue studies in “Medicine”, “Dentistry” or “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy” specialties free of charge under the internal academic mobility program on the basis of the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science dated 18.03.2022 №1/3507-22 “On internal academic mobility of participants in the educational process”.

Thanks to Google Classroom and Google Meet online, students who want to study in internal academic mobility programs at KMU will be able to join classes in any discipline.

You need to do the following:

1. Sign up for the program here.
2. Get acquainted with our Study Programs to choose the educational components you need to master (link);
3. After filling out the registration form, you will be contacted by the Academic Mobility Program Coordinator and informed about the next steps.
4. Within two days, you will receive (via e-mail) a message with instructions on joining the academic group, online attendance, rules of study at KMU and your schedule.

If you want to join us as a student, you can be transferred to the Kyiv Medical University according to the common procedure determined by the current legislation. Please apply using the contact information below.

Students of Kyiv Medical University have the opportunity to take advantage of the academic mobility program and undergo training in an educational program or individual educational components at another higher education institution.

Types of academic mobility: Academic mobility is divided into:

• Internal — involves studying or fulfilling an academic mobility program at another higher education institution in Ukraine, different from the place of permanent study;
• International — involves studying or fulfilling an academic mobility program by a Ukrainian student at a foreign higher education institution.

Participation opportunities: To undergo training under the academic mobility program, you can:

• Use current agreements between Kyiv Medical University and other higher education institutions;
• Participate in the international Erasmus+ program;
• Choose any other educational institution (in this case, the University will conclude the relevant agreements with the chosen institution to organize your studies upon your request).

How to participate in the academic mobility program:

1. Familiarize yourself with the educational programs or individual educational components of partner institutions (or other higher education institutions). Every year in August and January, information about academic mobility programs with partner institutions is published on the University website.
2. Contact the dean’s office of your faculty or the person responsible for academic mobility issues to clarify the necessary information.
3. Submit an application for participation in the academic mobility program (by the end of August / January).
4. Wait for an invitation to the competitive selection from the Selection Committee for the academic mobility program.
5. Undergo an interview with the Selection Committee (students who do not have financial or academic debts are allowed to the interview) (September / February).
6. Wait for the results of the Committee’s consideration (by the end of September / February).
7. After processing your request and passing the competitive selection (in accordance with the agreement on the implementation of academic mobility programs), the University will contact the relevant higher education institution to conclude the necessary agreements and organize the academic mobility.
