An open lecture on “Aesthetic medicine in Poland: legislation, education and standards of practice” was held at the KMU Polish CampusThe event brought together KMU students interested in modern aesthetic medicine and provided an opportunity to explore the professional, educational, and regulatory aspects of this rapidly developing field. The lecture was delivered by Zofia Stefanik, Dentist and Aesthetic Medicine Practitioner, who shared her professional experience with the students and provided a comprehensive overview of the development of aesthetic medicine in Poland. During the lecture, participants explored the legal aspects of performing aesthetic procedures in Poland, educational and professional opportunities in the field, qualification requirements, as well as the distinctions between aesthetic medicine, cosmetology, and plastic surgery. Particular attention was paid to patient safety, professional responsibility, evidence-based practice, and standards of medical care. Students also learned how to assess the quality and safety of aesthetic procedures and identify reliable sources of professional information. The lecture offered an opportunity to view aesthetic medicine not only as one of the rapidly developing areas of modern medicine, but also as a professional field that requires appropriate education, competence, ethical responsibility, and a strong commitment to patient safety. The event concluded with an open discussion, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and explore practical aspects of professional development in aesthetic medicine in Poland. We thank Zofia Stefanik for sharing her valuable knowledge, professional expertise, and practical experience with KMU students. The KMU Polish Campus continues to create opportunities for students to engage with practicing professionals, explore emerging areas of modern medicine, and build a strong foundation for their future professional careers 10.08.2026
