A practical masterclass “Lasers in Dentistry” was held at the Polish Campus of Kyiv Medical University

A practical masterclass, “Lasers in Dentistry,” was held at the Polish Campus of Kyiv Medical University and delivered by Iwona Filipowska, an expert with more than 30 years of experience in innovative dentistry.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for dentistry students to explore modern approaches to the clinical application of laser technologies and deepen their practical knowledge under the guidance of an experienced specialist.

During the masterclass, participants learned about the indications and contraindications for the use of dental lasers, the characteristics of different laser systems, and the criteria for selecting the most appropriate laser technology depending on a particular clinical case. Special attention was given to modern laser therapy techniques, their advantages in the treatment of various pathologies, and the role of laser technologies in improving the effectiveness and quality of dental care.

The practical session enabled students to gain a better understanding of the principles of laser equipment operation, explore its applications in contemporary dentistry, and receive valuable recommendations on integrating innovative technologies into their future professional practice.

Following the masterclass, participants had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss clinical cases with the speaker, and receive certificates of participation.
