WHAT IS A STUDENT ID CARD?

Every student of the University has the right to receive a student ID card – a document with a photograph and personal data of a student. A student ID card is issued for the entire period of study.

WHAT DO YOU NEED A STUDENT ID CARD FOR?

A student ID card allows you to:

1. Identify the person and confirm his/her status as a University student
2. Preferential travel, which is regulated by the resolution of the Government of Ukraine
3. Preferential travel in public transport (metro, buses, trolleybuses, trams, funiculars). Click here for more details
4. Preferential travel by train
5. Get a student discount on visiting many museums, theaters, cinemas, etc., as well as in some trade and catering facilities
(for example, Making of the Ukrainian Nation Museum, National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine, «Oscar» movie theaters, etc).

WHAT KINDS OF STUDENT ID CARDS ARE OUT THERE?

Plastic student ID card is issued to students after admission/renewal/transfer to study.

Digital student ID card is generated automatically once the plastic student ID card is issued and is displayed in the “Diya” mobile application.

You can check the validity of the student ID card in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE).

ISIC is an international ID card (separate from the existing student ID card), which is recognized in 120 countries around the world, and grants its holders to more than 42,000 discounts and benefits around the world.

REGARDING PREFERENTIAL TRAVEL IN MUNICIPAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The student ID card allows preferential travel in municipal public transport on the condition of timely refill in accordance with the established rate for preferential travel (50%).

IN ORDER TO ACTIVATE PREFERENTIAL TRAVEL IN PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN THE CITY OF KYIV:

1. Download the “Kyiv Digital” application
2. Select the “Transport Card” tab
3. Enter the transport card number (12 digits) and the card PIN number (4 digits)
4. Top up the balance on the transport card

ATTENTION! Unused trips CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED to the next period.

REGARDING PREFERENTIAL TRAVEL BY TRAIN

The student ID card grants 50% discount for a train ticket, unless it is one for a sleeping cars, compartment or first-class. To purchase a discounted train ticket, show your student ID card to the cashier. If you are purchasing via the Internet platform, select the correct passenger type («student») and enter the serial number of your student ID card.

IF YOU LOSE YOUR PLASTIC STUDENT ID CARD:

1. Pay the cost of a student ID card in accordance with the rates on the University website (“Supplemental educational services” section)
2. Scan a 3х4 cm photograph in 300х300dpi resolution for a student ID card
3. Fill out the GOOGLE-FORM using your corporate account (example@kmu.edu.ua) or contact the Student Service on the 1st floor of the administrative and educational building (2, Boryspilska St., Kyiv)
