KMU Summer Medical Camp at “Repty” — modern technologies and unforgettable experience! 🌿✨

At the end of August 2025, students of the Polish Campus of Kyiv Medical University visited one of the most advanced rehabilitation centers in Poland —  Upper Silesian Rehabilitation Center “Repty” named after General Jerzy Ziętek (Tarnowskie Góry) as part of the KMU SUMMER CAMP!

About the “Repty” Center 

The Upper Silesian Rehabilitation Center “Repty” combines a rich historical background with cutting-edge rehabilitation technologies. The center specializes in neurological, orthopedic, and cardiac rehabilitation and actively implements innovative treatment methods:

• robotic systems for motor function recovery;
• virtual reality for neurorehabilitation;
• individually tailored physiotherapy programs.

Its location in the picturesque Repty Park creates a favorable atmosphere for recovery, and its many years of experience make the center a leader in the region. “Repty” also actively cooperates with medical universities, giving students the opportunity to learn about the latest rehabilitation approaches.

As part of the KMU Summer Medical Camp, students had the chance to:

• take a guided tour of the clinic and explore advanced rehabilitation methods;
• participate in practical workshops on physiotherapy, diagnostics, and psychotherapy conducted by English- and Ukrainian-speaking specialists;
• communicate with leading medical experts and ask questions.

After the educational program, students enjoyed a cozy picnic in a hunting lodge — grilled sausages, warm conversations, and relaxation in nature. The day concluded with an excursion to Sztolnia Czarnego Pstrąga, where participants explored underground tunnels by boat — a perfect combination of history, emotions, and team spirit.

The visit to “Repty” became not only an educational event but also a source of inspiration, new friendships, and a strong sense of student community.

The cooperation between Kyiv Medical University and the Upper Silesian Rehabilitation Center opens new horizons for the development of medical education and practice, providing students with modern knowledge and valuable hands-on experience.
