On October 4, 2025, students from the Polish campus of KMU visited Wroclaw Zoo — the largest and oldest zoo in Poland. It is considered one of the most fascinating zoos in Europe: over 33 hectares, it is home to more than 12,000 animals from around the world
. We were greeted by proud lions
, mighty elephants
, graceful tigers
, majestic giraffes
, massive rhinoceroses
, curious llamas
, and countless other exotic animals and birds
.
The huge three-level terrarium was a separate adventure. On the lower floors, we observed reptiles and amphibians

. On the third floor — a real “greenhouse” filled with live tropical butterflies
. Nearby is the aquarium, where we could see colorful fish, coral reefs, and other aquatic wonders

.
But the true heart of the trip was the Africarium — a unique oceanarium dedicated exclusively to African ecosystems

. The Africarium features 21 pools and aquariums, housing over 350 species of fish and aquatic animals

. We literally “walked under the water” through a special glass tunnel (18 meters long), watching sharks
, rays
, stunning coral fish
, and other sea creatures swimming all around us
. Immersion in the Congo jungle
, the colorful world of cichlids from Lake Tanganyika and Malawi, coral reefs of the Red Sea
, and even observing hippos
underwater — all of this turned the visit into a real journey to another continent
.
The trip became a unique lesson in expanding horizons
, emotional enrichment, and new discoveries! It was a day that filled us with energy
, inspired us to explore the world
, and will leave a vivid mark in our memories forever
