International FacultyOn purpose to provide the high quality of educational service to the foreign citizens and due to increasing of the number of foreign students by the order of the President of the University No.15 dated January, 12th 2017 the International Faculty was formed. The International Faculty is profile one on training the specialists according to the following specialty: 221 “Dentistry”, 222 “General Medicine”, 226 “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”. Foreign students obtain the higher medical and pharmaceutical education according to the international standards, they have opportunity to study using the latest computer technologies and having access to the electronic carries of the international scientific research and libraries. High qualified staff of professors and teachers work at the Faculty, majority of them are English speaking professors, associate professors, who are well experienced in work with foreign students. The experts of the International Faculty organize interaction between the monitors of the groups and the dean’s office in order to get the weekly information regarding the students’ attendance of lectures and classes and their progress; they work with the documents (such as personal files, study records and exam records); daily they receive students and consider various issues. More than 1500 students from 64 countries study at the Faculty, among them are the students from India, Nigeria, Ghana, Iraq, Islam Republic of Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Finland, the United States of America, Great Britain and Canada. The international students who study at the University have opportunity to do the Vocational Practice not only at the clinics of Kyiv and also in Poland and Germany. Our best graduates do their postgraduate studies in the internship of the University. The International Faculty along with students’ leaders under supervision of the vice-rector professor Volodymyr Mehed organize cultural and entertaining events, festivals and parties, excursions about Kyiv and Ukraine. Students’ leaders are initiators, organizers and participants in various university, municipal, international charity events.
DEAN OF THE FACULTYKachan Kostiantyn, PhD, Associate Professor. He was born on November 3, 1986 in Kyiv. In 2009 was graduated with honors from Philosophical Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. From 2009 to 2012 was studying at the postgraduate course of Philosophical Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. During studies received a stipend from the Supreme Council of Ukraine. In 2012 graduated from postgraduate course ahead of schedule and defended his thesis for the PhD degree. The thesis entitled: «Islamic radicalism: religious and political essence and forms of manifestation». From 2012 to 2018 was working at the Bogomolets National Medical University as a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology and vice-dean of Foreign students faculty. From 2018 to 2019 was working at Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv University as Assistant Vice-Rector for work with foreign students. Since 2019 have headed the Department of International Relations and Educational Work of the Kyiv Medical University. Since 2020 works as the Dean of the International Faculty of the Kyiv Medical University.
